AI Agents
Connect your voice-AI provider (Vapi, ElevenLabs, Retell) to TryVox numbers. Inbound calls bridge to your agent; outbound calls from your agent egress through TryVox.
AI Agents
TryVox AI Agents is the connector layer between your TryVox phone numbers and your voice-AI provider of choice — Vapi, ElevenLabs Conversational AI, or Retell. We are not an AI platform: we don't host agents, voices, or LLMs. Your agent stays on the provider that already runs it; TryVox handles the carrier-grade telephony around it.
What this gives you
- Inbound in one click — paste one API key, pick a number and an agent, done. Inbound calls bridge straight to your agent.
- One key, many numbers — connect your provider once, then bind any of your TryVox numbers to any of your agents.
- No drift — agent prompts, voices, models, and tools stay where you already manage them. Update on the provider; TryVox picks it up on the next call.
Outbound (agent → PSTN) is in progress. v1 ships with inbound only. The TryVox-issued SIP trunk is provisioned on your provider the moment you connect a number, but the egress path from your agent through TryVox to the PSTN is being polished. Coordinate with support before relying on it.
How it works
Caller → TryVox PSTN → TryVox SBC → Your provider's SIP edge → Your AI agent
(Vapi / ElevenLabs / Retell)When an inbound call hits a TryVox number that's bound to an AI agent, our routing layer returns the provider's SIP URI (for example sip:agent_xyz@sip.vapi.ai) and we bridge the call straight to it. The provider does STT / LLM / TTS; we handle PSTN delivery and any DTMF the provider needs.
Supported providers
| Provider | Inbound | Outbound (agent → PSTN) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vapi | ✅ | 🚧 in progress | Most popular. Agent SIP URI: sip:<assistant_id>@sip.vapi.ai. |
| ElevenLabs Conversational AI | ✅ | 🚧 in progress | Use the Convai workspace's agent ID. |
| Retell | ✅ | 🚧 in progress | Standard SIP termination. |
Bring-your-own SIP (any provider that exposes a SIP URI) is on the roadmap as a "Generic" integration. Until then, request a provider via support and we'll add it.
What lives where

| API key, agent ↔ number bindings | TryVox (encrypted at rest) | AES-256-GCM. Rotate any time from the dashboard. |
Getting started
- Connect your provider — paste an API key, we validate it.
- Connect a number — pick a TryVox number, pick an agent. Inbound calls route immediately.
Pricing
You pay only for the underlying TryVox usage:
- Inbound minutes and number rental (standard TryVox rates)
- Outbound minutes (standard TryVox rates)
- Recording storage (if enabled on your TryVox number)
You pay your AI provider separately for their own usage (LLM, TTS, etc.). TryVox does not mark up or proxy provider pricing.
